Shipping policy
General shipping terms and conditions
At The Bradery, we offer several delivery options in partnership with various carriers.
When we send parcels from our warehouses, we offer home delivery via Colissimo, as well as delivery to a collection point with Mondial Relay. Deliveries outside Europe are handled by DHL.
When a partner brand sends your order directly, it is free to use the carrier of its choice.
For bulky items such as furniture, if the product page does not specify delivery to a room of your choice, the item will be delivered to the entrance of your building.
A more responsible delivery option thanks to Colissimo
For more than 10 years, the brand has been committed to responsible e-commerce by taking concrete steps to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of parcel transport and delivery.
Their goal: net zero emissions by 2040. And to achieve it with full transparency.
In France, 30% of greenhouse gas emissions are linked to the transport of goods and people.
That is why Colissimo has introduced a range of measures for its transport operations:
- “Organised bulk loading”: a kind of giant Tetris game that optimises how parcels are packed, fitting in as many as possible while using as little space as possible.
- Swap bodies are new truck trailers that work in pairs, increasing the load capacity of lorries.
-
Optimising journeys and delivery routes: Once parcels have been packed efficiently into trailers, the next step is to take the most efficient route.
For example, on a journey from Marseille to Paris, Colissimo first stops in Lyon with parcels from Marseille and picks up parcels bound for Paris from Lyon. This reduces the distance travelled while helping your order arrive sooner. - The use of low-carbon energy sources such as biogas, biofuels and electricity, or even active transport for the last mile. Long-distance transport is gradually being converted to low-carbon alternatives (by the end of 2023, nearly 5.3 million km had been covered by low-carbon heavy goods vehicles, and more than 25% of parcels had been delivered using low-carbon methods: electric delivery vehicles or cargo bikes).
The results: 100% of parcels delivered within central Paris were delivered using low-carbon transport, as were more than 1 in 2 parcels in France’s 22 metropolitan areas!
Did you know? Delivery to a collection point is a greener option because several deliveries can be grouped at one location. Provided, of course, that you don’t drive a petrol or diesel vehicle to collect your order! Otherwise, let your parcel take the bus: have it delivered to your home or workplace by active transport or electric vehicle. Colissimo has one of Europe’s largest fleets of electric vehicles.
