The patterns of the Taoma rug give it a strikingly contemporary geometry: an interplay of intersecting, layered weaves forming generous, hypnotic polka dots. Yet Taoma is born from traditional heritage: it is a jacquard woven by artisans on handlooms.

Available in black and white for an understated, elegant feel or turmeric for cosy warmth, Taoma offers the incomparable softness of wool and fits anywhere: it warms a bedroom, adds design flair to a dining room, or invites you to lounge in the living room.

Taoma's appeal also lies in its ethical commitment: each rug is made in India, in a province south of Nepal. This craft supports the local economy of villages that would otherwise rely solely on agriculture.

Each rug is made from pure wool fibres and features discreet corner weights to keep it lying perfectly flat.

Wool

Composition: 100% wool
Regular vacuuming: vacuum gently without a rotating brush to avoid damaging the fibres. Two to three times a week is recommended, particularly in high-traffic areas.
Avoid stains: clean up spills immediately by blotting with a dry cloth. Do not rub to avoid setting the stain.
Deep cleaning: have your rug cleaned once a year by a professional specialising in wool rugs.
Air and shake: shake your rug outside from time to time to remove dust and dirt settled deep within.
Avoid moisture: wool is sensitive to moisture, so never leave your rug wet for long periods.
